Glamour vs. Comfort

You want to wear those cute shoes that hurt your feet, but you also want to be comfortable on your wedding day. What’s a girl to do? Below you will find some tips to help make your feet happy on your wedding day…

• The most tried and true tip is to wear your to die for heels during the ceremony and the beginning of the reception, later changing into a flat.

• Consider investing in a top quality shoe, as the top notch construction equals more comfort.

• Consider shoe pads to prevent your shoes for slipping, shifting and rubbing.

• When shopping have your feet measured, and try on shoes at the end of the day as your feet tend to swell and will be at their largest.

• A few weeks before the wedding begin to break your shoes in. Wear them inside the house for an hour or two.

• Consider purchasing shoes from a store specializing in dance shoes. Dance shoes are designed especially for comfort while dancing.

• Be true to yourself. If you are not accustomed to wearing five inch heels, please do not attempt such a task on your wedding day. If you must wear a heel higher than your norm buy those with plenty of time to practice, practice, practice.

Although you want to look your best on your wedding day, you also want to have fun. Remember when your feet hurt it shows on your face, so make the choice to be both glamorous and comfortable.
